Seth Godin is a best-selling author, entrepreneur, and marketing expert. He is known for his unconventional and thought-provoking ideas about marketing, which he has shared in numerous books and articles.

He was born in 1960 and grew up in New York. He received a degree in computer science from Tufts University and later worked as a brand manager at Spinnaker Software. In 1993, he founded Yoyodyne, an early pioneer in the field of online marketing. The company was eventually acquired by Yahoo, and Godin went on to work at Yahoo for a time before leaving to focus on his writing and consulting work.
